We are seeking a dedicated and adaptable Lecturer in Health and Social Care to join our team at a modern, state-of-the-art campus in East London.
About the Role
As a Lecturer, you will play a vital role in delivering engaging and impactful teaching across multiple levels, from Certificate (Level 4) up to Master's (Level 7). You will be responsible for delivering a range of modules, including Public Health, Epidemiology, Digital Health Promotion, and more. With three intakes per year (October, February, and June), you will teach a diverse cohort of mature students, many of whom are from inner-city communities. This role requires a compassionate and patient individual who is passionate about supporting student development and widening participation.
As the Health and Social Care lecturer, you will be required to:
Deliver 16-18 hours of onsite teaching per week across 4 modules (4 hours each), using a variety of engaging teaching methods. Provide academic and pastoral support to students, enhancing their learning experience. Support other academic functions, including admissions, marking, assessments, and module leadership. Work closely with colleagues to promote student success and engagement.
To be successful in this role, you must have:
A Master's degree in a relevant discipline (e.g., Public Health, Social Care). UK teaching experience in higher education up to level 7, teaching Health and Social Care A passion for working with diverse student groups and the ability to adapt your teaching style to meet varying needs.
