Learning Support Assistant | Nottingham

Empowering Learning are delighted to be working with a primary school in the NG3 area who are looking to add a learning support assistant to their pastoral team. The role will begin November 2024 and will be full time with the hours of work being 8:30-4pm. This will be a fixed term contract until July 2025 with the potential of this becoming a permanent role for the right person. The main duties within this role will be: Supporting children both in and out the classroom with academic work Working on a 1:1 basis with targeted children Running an activity over lunch time to help promote socialising between pupils Assisting the class teacher with the running of lessons Using the school's reward system to help engage children in lessons Leading guided reading sessions with pupils The school are looking for someone who: Will act as a positive role model for the children Has previous experience of working in a childcare setting Can help pupils progress with their academic work Can manage the behaviour of children within the class Can be a good team player Will be able to communicate effectively with their colleagues and pupils To apply for the role, please send across your CV via the application page.
