Kateys Nursery and Preschool is seeking a motivated Nursery Practitioner or Early Years Educator qualified in Level 3 Childcare to join our dynamic team. Job role description for Nursery Practitioner:
Support the Nursery Manager and Deputy Manager with daily operations and administration.
Adhere to company policies, Children Act, Health & Safety legislation, Ofsted guidelines, and National Standards.
Maintain confidentiality and promote the EYFS to create a nurturing environment for children's play, learning, and development.
Build strong partnerships with families to support learning inside and outside the classroom.
Conduct age-appropriate activities, follow the curriculum, and use lesson plans and assessment tools effectively.
Complete termly childrens assessments and participate in in-person parents evenings.
Supervise and guide children, promoting positive behaviour and assisting with toilet needs as required.
Greet children and parents daily, ensuring safety and well-being.
Represent the nursery professionally and attend staff meetings, training, and community events.
Maintain a clean, organised and safe environment for children to play & learn.
As a Nursery Practitioner you will have:
A level 3 or above childcare qualification
A passion for childrens education and care, and a commitment to inclusivity
Good oral and written communication skills
Enthusiasm to reflect on and constantly improve practice and to lead by example
An ability to safeguard and protect children
A flexible and can-do attitude - no two days are ever the same!
