Prison Pharmacy Technician - Milton Keynes

Hunter Gatherer AHP are seeking several locum Prison cleared Pharmacy Technicians to join an NHS run prison service in Milton Keynes to start ASAP. Location: Milton Keynes Job Type: Contract/Locum Salary: £17 - £23 per hour, DE PAYE Prison Based About the Role: We are looking for a highly skilled and dedicated Pharmacy Technician with prison clearance to join our prison client. In this role, you will play a critical part in supporting the healthcare needs within a secure environment. You will be responsible for dispensing prescriptions, managing stock control, and providing patient counselling, all while ensuring the highest standards of pharmaceutical care in line with security protocols. Key Responsibilities: Dispense prescriptions in a secure and controlled environment Provide expert advice and counselling to patients on the correct use of medications Maintain accurate stock control and perform stock audits Work closely with healthcare teams to ensure safe and efficient medication management Ensure compliance with prison-specific protocols and procedures Use the CMM Pharmacy computer system (desirable) Assist with the management of medication supplies and ensure adherence to strict security guidelines Qualifications & Experience: Must be GPhC registered NVQ Level 3 in Pharmacy Services (Pharmacy Technician) Must hold valid prison clearance Experience working in a prison or secure environment (desirable) Ability to work under pressure and in a controlled, high-security setting ACPT (Accuracy Checking Pharmacy Technician) qualification (desirable) Experience in stock control and dispensing prescriptions Why Join Us?
