Job Requirements / Description
The successful Applications Engineer will be largely customer facing, supporting with enquiries, meeting regularly with our customer / client base to refine project and product specifications, prior to the order intake and release to the engineering group. Engaging with the Engineering Design teams, providing additional design support in line with project requirements. Representing company at Exhibitions, gaining marketing information to feedback to help shape and direct our future technology and product strategies. Liaising and occasionally travelling to meet our Chinese colleagues and support sales of large converters for renewable energy markets To be successful in this role of Applications Engineer we would love to speak to anyone who has experience of: Degree or equivalent in Electronic Engineering. Commercially astute, with experience being customer / client facing. Knowledge and experience of the tender process. Practical engineering experience, including design for power electronics converters. Understanding of renewable markets (eg Solar, BESS, Hydrogen, Wind) would be advantageous. An Engineer who likes to get involved with both technical engineering aspects such as design as being commercial astute in a customer and client facing role.
