Housekeeper

On behalf of a fantastic, purpose-built Care Home in Harrow we are looking for a friendly and committed Housekeeper to join their team on a full time contract, working predominantly 9am-5pm. Job Reference: PK62037 (Housekeeper in a Care Home) * Job: Housekeeper * Hours: 40 hours per week, split across 5 days * Shifts: Mostly 9am-5pm, some flexibility for the needs of the Home * Salary: £14.00 per hour! * Immediate start available! Within the Housekeeper role you will be working both on the floor hands on, contributing to the provision of a safe, clean and comfortable environment, as well as having time off of the floor for other duties. You will help to lead the team day to day, reporting any issues to the Care Home Manager. You will assist with the day to day cleaning of the home, for example lounges, hallways and resident’s rooms, whilst always respecting the privacy and individual needs of the residents. As a part of your role you will ensure that all duties are carried out in accordance with health and safety regulations and ensuring that the work carried out by the domestic team is to the correct standard. The ideal Housekeeper candidate will preferably have some prior experience as a Housekeeper, Domestic Assistant or similar role within a care home or hospital environment, although this is not essential. You should possess strong communication skills and the ability to work flexibly within the care home alongside a variety of people. As a successful Housekeeper candidate you will receive a full induction and training programme as well as continuing support throughout your employment from the Home Manager and other members of the management team.
