Sir Robert McAlpine has secured a prestigious contract to construct a state-of-the-art Battery Manufacturing Facility. The initial phase of the project includes the design and construction of a new 15GWh lithium-ion battery facility, ancillary buildings, and site-wide external works. Why join us? The Engineer role You'll be responsible for assisting the design, coordination and management of a number of sub-contractors employed in a variety of trades within the respective area of works. The role requires a high level of interfacing between internal departments and external agencies, such as Architects, Engineers, Construction Workers, Sub-contractors, Client agents, Clerk of Works and Site Staff. Coordination and management of sub-contractors. You'll also organise and conduct regular site progress meetings with sub-contractors to monitor progress, quality and safety, ensuring the Chief Engineer and Project Manager are updated on all issues Your profile Key Packages / Areas of focus will be Super Structure and Frame Ideally you will; be degree in civil engineering, construction management or related field have the ability to prepare a 3 week look-ahead programme with assistance of project planner have proven working experience on a construction site environment be knowledgeable of building products, construction details and relevant rules, regulations and quality standards have or be working working towards a construction industry related Professional membership (e.G ICE, CIOB, RICS, ICE, CIBSE, IStructE, etc) Rewards We're ready to invest in you and your future, and offer wide-ranging, performance-related progression opportunities.
