Internal Business Development Manager Based out of Basildon, Essex Monday - Friday A major shipping company are currently seeking an Internal Business Development Manager. Competitive base salary + commission and benefits package. The Role: Internal Business Development Manager Gain New Business Manage inbound sales inquiries and complete sales process from cold calling to contract negotiation. Expanding customer base and ensuring long-term partnerships. Liaise successfully with shipping lines, suppliers, carriers and Non-Vessel Operating Common Carriers. Responsibilities: Business Development: Win potential new clients through market research, networking, and cold calling. Inside Sales: Act promptly to inbound sales inquiries via email, phone, or online channels. Tenders and Bidding: Identify and respond to tenders, RFPs, and RFQs in the logistics sector. Account Management: Maintain strong relationships with existing clients to ensure repeat business and referrals. Build relationships with Suppliers, Shipping Lines, NVOCCs, and Carriers. Negotiate competitive rates and terms. Skills & Experience Required: Internal Business Development Manager * 3+ years Experience working in logisitic sales. * Strong understanding of logistics, supply chain management, and transportation solutions. * Experience liaising with suppliers, shipping lines, NVOCCs, and carriers, including negotiating terms, rates, and troubleshooting issues. * Familiarity with shipping processes, documentation, and regulatory requirements. * Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. * Proficient in CRM software and MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. * Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, target-driven environment
