Senior Building Control Surveyor
Salary: Grade 7: £48,530 to £54,064 per annum
Hours: Full time (37 hours per week)
Enhanced Annual Leave: 25 days per annum (plus bank holidays & Christmas shutdown)
Annualised Hours: Working extra hours means taking extra leave!
Are you looking for an interesting and varied role where you will be administering building regulations, the Building Act and other associated legislation? Where you will assist the Principal Building Control Officer with service plan implementation, meeting service standards and performance targets? Where you are supported in developing your experience and knowledge to further your career?
Do you have minimum Class 2A-2F registration with the Building Safety Regulator? Do you have a minimum of 5 years post qualification experience working in building control either within Local Government or the private sector?
If you answered yes to the questions above, then you should apply for this opportunity at South Oxfordshire and Vale of White Horse District Councils, where you will be:
validating, examining and determining applications submitted under building regulations and associated legislation in line with Class 2A to Class 2F registration as agreed.
recording detailed and accurate records within the services computerised systems.
instigating enforcement procedures, preparing reports and statements to the councils solicitor and appearing in court as a prosecution witness as required
carrying out inspections of dangerous structures, taking appropriate action.
exercising and promoting a high level of customer satisfaction.
