Building Services Engineer

We have an excellent opportunity for a Building Services Engineer based in Reading, Berkshire, with our Client in the Nuclear Industry. Candidates must be eligible to apply for Security Clearance if not already held. This includes holding British Citizenship and not working outside the UK for the past 5 years. Job Description: As a Building Services Engineer, you will be responsible for the design & coordination of essential building systems, including mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems. You will work closely with architects, contractors, and other engineers to ensure that all building services meet the required standards and regulations. Key Responsibilities: Design and develop mechanical and electrical systems. Conduct site inspections and assessments to ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards. Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other engineers to integrate building services into overall building design. Prepare detailed specifications, and drawings for building services projects. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to mechanical and electrical systems. Provide technical support and guidance to engineers and technicians. Skills and Qualifications: Minimum of 5 years of experience in building services engineering. Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, including HVAC, lighting, and power distribution. General understanding of fire stopping requirements associated with building services. Knowledge in CAD software and other engineering design tools. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
