Pay: £83.40-£91.83 per day
About the School:
Supply Desk are working with a friendly primary school that has received a ‘good’ rating from Ofsted. To assist Key Stage 1 and 2 pupils with special needs learn, the school are seeking a dedicated and empathetic SEN teaching assistant. The school fosters a friendly, supportive environment, to allow students to thrive, both socially and academically. The school are looking for someone to join their team on a temporary, day-to-day basis.
About the role:
The school are seeking a dedicated individual, with a genuine passion for making a difference in the lives of children with Special Educational Needs. The right candidate will have the ability to empathise with students as well as effectively communicate with them. This role is to support children in Key Stage 1 and 2 to develop their academic skills in the classroom. Needs include, but are not limited to: ASC, ADHD, and ADD.
The candidate:
A genuine passion for assisting SEND students with relevant experience Strong verbal and written communication skills Empathetic and supportive attitude recognising the unique challenges faced by SEN students Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the individual needs of students Providing individual and group support, helping the children engage in classroom activities Excellent behaviour management Ensuring a safe, inclusive, supportive learning environment Benefits:
