1:1 Learning Support Assistant

Prospero Teaching are recruiting for a Teaching Assistant to support with learning needs on a 1:1 basis for a Primary School in Saltley, Birmingham. The school is an OFSTED rated Good mainstream Primary School with a supportive senior leadership team. They are looking for enthusiastic and nurturing support staff who can develop good relationships with children with additional needs. You will be supporting a year 4 pupil who is currently working at year 1 level. The ideal candidate will have Read Write Inc and intervention experience. This is a full-time role to start ASAP and will continue for the rest of the academic year. Previous experience delivering interventions and Read Write Inc programme is essential. CONTRACT/POSITION DETAILS Location - Saltley, Birmingham Position - 1:1 learning support Type of work - Teaching Assistant - 1:1 Start date - ASAP Duration / Likely Duration - Long term opportunity for the rest of the academic year End date (if applicable) - July 2025 Contract type - Temporary Full time/part time - Full tine Minimum rate of pay - Minimum rate GBP86.40 per day (negotiable) Hours - 8:20 am - 4pm (full day) EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualifications Previous experience working in a UK school - in either permanent or long-term roles Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST: Hold Right to Work in the UK Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application Provide two professional child related references that cover the last two years OTHER If you would like to be considered for this role, please apply with a copy of your up to date CV.
