Higher Level Teaching Assistant

Meridian Business support are working on behalf of a school in the Halton, Cheshire area, they require an experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant or someone looking to step up to HLTA role, to support their SEND students, providing support with their lessons and identifying the students needs and barriers to learning. Role: Higher Level Teaching Assistant Start date: ASAP Location: Halton, Cheshire Hours: 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday (term time only) Salary: £100 - £120 per day Successful candidates for the Higher Level Teaching Assistant must have a minimum of Math and English GCSE grade 5 or equivalent, and ideally hold at least a Level 2 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning (Learning Assistant) or HLTA teaching assistant qualification. The ideal candidate will have: Proven experience working with learners who have SEMH needs. Capable of covering lessons with the flexibility and willingness to adapt teaching approaches when necessary. Able to provide ongoing support to meet the diverse needs of all learners. Can employ strategies to recognise and celebrate learners’ achievements. Utilise detailed knowledge to assess learners’ needs and support their learning process. Contribute to the development, implementation, and evaluation of personalized learning plans for learners. Provide regular feedback to learners on their progress and achievements, promoting growth and development. Monitor and evaluate learner responses to activities, ensuring appropriate interventions where needed. Deliver specialist support to meet individual learner needs effectively.
