Job Title: Assistant Accountant – AAT Qualified Location: Wrexham Working Hours: Mon to Thurs: 8:00 to 16:30, Friday early finish Salary: £26,000 - £28,000 per annum Are you ready to join a dynamic, stable and growing team? Our client is on the lookout for an Assistant Accountant to join their Wrexham Head Office! If you've got well-rounded experience in accounts, bookkeeping, and handling purchase/sales ledgers, this role could be perfect for you. Ideally, they’re looking for candidates with an AAT qualification (or equivalent). Ready to take your next step? Read on for more details! The Job Handling queries related to purchase/sales ledgers – you’re the go-to for answers! Reconciling supplier statements and payments – keeping everything in check. Making sure those bank balances reconcile perfectly. Helping out with transactional processing (think raising invoices, posting, and a bit of credit control). Processing weekly external payroll payments and journals. Preparing monthly and annual ledger reconciliations like a pro. Managing inter-company journals and recharges. Allocating expenses and handling company credit cards. While this covers most of it, this description isn’t set in stone! You may be asked to take on other reasonable duties as needed. The You Previous experience in a similar accounting role – if you’ve done it, they want to hear about it! Ideally, you’re AAT qualified. Familiarity with Sage 50 would be a plus. Any construction industry experience? Even better! Experience in an SME would be super helpful. Great interpersonal skills – teamwork makes the dream work!
