Key Responsibilities for a Teaching Assistant:
Assist teachers in preparing lesson materials and classroom activities. Support individual students or small groups with their learning, both inside and outside the classroom. Help manage classroom behavior and maintain a positive learning environment. Provide one-on-one assistance to students with special educational needs. Assist with the assessment and recording of student progress. Supervise students during breaks, lunchtimes, and school trips. Perform administrative tasks such as photocopying, filing, and organizing resources. Foster a nurturing and supportive atmosphere for all students.
Requirements for a Teaching Assistant:
A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent; a teaching assistant qualification is preferred. Previous experience working with children or in an educational setting is an advantage. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Patience, empathy, and the ability to engage with students effectively. Good organizational skills and attention to detail. A positive attitude and a willingness to be flexible and adaptable.
