Girling Jones are working with a leading South West Heating & Plumbing expert to support their Engineers with a new Contract Manager. Seeking Domestic & New Build experienced M&E staff to be a part of their Exeter (South) team, visiting 2-3 sites a day and working from the office (flexible working)

Leadership experience is essential, however we are open to discussions with those holding strong senior experience who feel prepared for a step up to Contract Management. Valid Gas & Plumbing qualifications and CSCS are necessary, a valid SMSTS / SSSTS qualification is also ideal (desirable, but not essential)

Well founded as one of the most experienced and knowledgeable engineering business for their sector, used by all the largest domestic house builders in the South West

Daily Duties of a Contract Manager:

• Visiting 2-3 sites per day, completing all paperwork relevant to your visits on time and accurately
• Drafting and revising contracts
• Ensuring that all contracts are accurate and relevant documentation is correct and updated when necessary
• Building and maintaining good relationships with clients and suppliers
• Developing plans to fit the schedule of works
• Identifying ways to increase efficiency and improve productivity
• Corresponding with external stakeholders to document all activities
• Compiling and delivering presentations to clients and suppliers
• Collecting and collating data for forecasting and planning purposes

What you ll need to succeed as a Contract Manager:

• Must have full knowledge of plumbing and heating within the new build industry
• Hold a current CSCS card
• Hold valid Gas & Plumbing qualifications
• Ideally possess a valid SMSTS or SSSTS (desirable)
• Preferably have previous Contract Manager or Supervisor experience
• Full UK driving licence
