Head of Engineering

Location: Hybrid – 1 day onsite in London Salary: £100-120k A start-up EdTech company are looking for Head of Engineering which has just received 7 million in funding! You will lead a small team of 2 developers and will be growing out the team later this year. This role is therefore a hands on Head of Engineering position. You’ll own the engineering roadmap, working closely with product and leadership teams to prioritise and execute key initiatives, while pragmatically balancing speed with quality to ensure timely, high-impact delivery. Experience: Strong background in software engineering, with at least 3 years in a Head of Engineering or Technical Leadership role Experience within Javascript / Typescript. Experience with Node.js, ReactJS and Next.js Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP and containerisation technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) Start-up experience Benefits: Salary up to £120k dependent on exp Stock options Private Healthcare £1k learning and development budget p/a 35 days leave per year Quarterly socials and offsite days Enhanced parental leave
