What you’ll be involved in: You will be working as part of a dedicated team on the Renfrew site to service, calibrate and repair intrinsically safe instruments to defined standards and timescales. Key Responsibilities: * On assigned products carry out testing, calibration and repair for the variety of instruments. * Carry out fault investigation and root cause analysis providing feedback to colleagues where required. * Maintain accurate records of instrument servicing and parts usage. * Ensure effective maintenance of workshop stock levels by timely ordering of replenishment * Handle internal and customer enquiries by telephone or in person as appropriate. * Chance to be involved with providing assistance to continuous improvement projects within the Service Centre. What we’re looking for in you: * Ideally have an ONC/HNC/HND in Electrical /Electronic Engineering would be of interest or equivalent experience * Previous experience working within electronic repair/calibration/testing of equipment and products, ideally within regulated environments.would be of interest * Ability to competently use a range of hand tools and perform hand soldering to component level * Capable of working to consistently high quality standards. * Able to interpret process documents and technical schematics. * Good basic engineering knowledge. * Able to record work completed or proposed using clear and concise language and terminology. * Good, logical, fault finding and diagnostic skills. * Good interpersonal and communication skills.
