Who we need We are looking to recruit a workshop technician to support our Engineering, Electrical Installation and Step in to STEM teams based at our Highfields campus. Key duties include: - Setting up practical training environments that involves regular lifting, moving and maintenance checks of machinery. - Work proactively and take initiative with limited supervision - Record keeping - Understand risk assessments and COSSH requirements would be an advantage, however training will be provided. What you'll bring The ideal candidate will have experience within a workshop or practical setting, ideally with a background in Engineering or Construction with knowledge and ability to adapt to difficult situations. · Excellent communication skills · Willingness to operate under pressure. · Support students undertaking practical activity. · Ordering of stock and maintenance of tools and equipment. · Ensure health and safety compliance.
