Cost Estimator

Our client are designers and makers of sculptural lighting, furniture and artworks and are currently recruiting for a Senior Design Estimator to join their growing team. As the Cost Estimator you will be researching and selecting the best practice processes, materials and suppliers for the purpose of manufacturing company designs. Your goal is to ensure maximum profitability for the company with the combination of affordability and outstanding quality for the customer. They are ideally looking for an individual who can grow quickly into a senior role mentoring others. Key Responsibilities also include to: Identify and quantify cost factors, such as production time and raw material, equipment and labour expenses. Understand a suppliers capabilities through research and visits to gather information on materials and outsourcing. Use internal ERP system to calculate estimates. Read off-plan and CAD technical documents to prepare estimates. Recommend ways to make a product more profitable while improving or maintaining quality and client expectations. Skills and Experience expected for the Cost Estimator role: Experience of costing and budgeting within the manufacturing of interior products. Knowledge of Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator. Numerate with good Microsoft Office skills and able to administrate a database. Analytical, problem-solving and time-management skills.
