Job ref: ME100924 Job type: Permanent Location: Newry Closing date: Friday 01 Nov 2024 17:00 Job Overview Support a multi-disciplined maintenance team to optimise company assets in a cost-effective manner whilst ensuring compliance with all appropriate legislative requirements within a cGMP environment. To work closely with maintenance management and contribute to the day-to-day decisions and activity critical to the efficient running of the manufacturing sites. This role will require on-going engagement with various departments and stakeholders as well as a good technical understanding of site plant and equipment. Main Activities/Task Provide technical leadership to the maintenance team to ensure that plant and equipment is maintained to the highest standards therefore minimising downtime and maximising uptime. Instill root cause analysis techniques to breakdowns; implement corrective action plans and/or contingency plans and communicate to the site management team. Ownership of planned maintenance schedules for manufacturing equipment to improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and optimise maintenance costs. Ensure that Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) are current, technically correct, and up to date and reflect current planned maintenance program. Ensure that all regulatory and audit requirements associated with the engineering department are met. Ensure compliance to Health, Safety and Environmental regulations and policies pertaining to the maintenance department. Establish 3rd party service contracts and service level agreements for site Utility systems. Management of 3rd party contractors ensuring risk assessments, method statements and all additional information is provided prior to commencement of work onsite. Any other duties as deemed necessary by line management. Essential Criteria: Qualified in a relevant plant engineering discipline (City & Guilds, BTEC or Degree) Minimum of 3+ years post apprenticeship experience or 1 years post graduate experience Strong computer skills and proficient in the use of Microsoft Office with the ability to generate reports. Desirable Criteria: 3rd level qualification in related technical discipline IOSH or NEBOSH qualified or working towards 5 + years supervisory or technical leadership experience in a manufacturing environment Additional Information: Applicants should be able to provide proof that they have a right to work in the UK at the time of their application.
