Location: Remote - UK Based We are supporting our Client with the recruitment of a Technical Advisor for their ROV and Survey division. Job Purpose: The Technical Advisor will support the business in delivering the organisations work programme, focusing on Remote Systems, ROV, and Survey activities. By utilising your expertise in these disciplines, you will help maintain the organisation as a leading global authority in the field, leveraging members' expertise to further develop guidance and competence in these areas. This is a new role, enhancing the technical departments capacity to address a busy and expanding work programme and support new initiatives. The role will assist the Lead Technical Advisor in providing technical guidance and expertise for ROV and survey operations across a variety of offshore activities and inspections. This position also involves helping to plan, execute, and manage quarterly technical committee meetings, as well as contributing to the development and implementation of technical guidance documents. Key Responsibilities: Attend and constructively participate in ROV & survey-related operations and associated workgroups, including preparing agendas, recording minutes, driving deliverables, and following through on action items. Assist in the preparation of new technical guidance documents and information notes, utilizing available expertise. Review and revise existing technical guidance documents and standards to keep them current with industry best practices. Consult and engage with third-party organizations, including regulators, trade, and technical associations. Support in organizing, liaising, promoting, and presenting at regional meetings to ensure successful outcomes. Prepare technical briefings for senior management as needed. Provide technical advice to designated management committees, workgroups, and membership. Assist the Lead Technical Advisor in representing the organization at conferences, seminars, webinars, in publications, and on social media to elevate its role and presence. Champion the organizations health, safety, security, and quality policies and procedures. Travel nationally and internationally to represent the organization at relevant meetings and events as required. Person Specification: Degree qualified or equivalent, though not essential. Relevant experience in ROV & survey operations or a similar technical role. Advantageous to have ROV and/or Offshore Survey qualifications in a supervisory role. Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and computer-based applications. Practical experience with survey equipment and techniques. Demonstrable experience in an office environment. Skills: Excellent communication and presentation skills (written and verbal). Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and meet tight deadlines. Effective listening skills. Capable of engaging with personnel across varying expertise levels and seniority. Confident in leading and fostering technical discussions. Committed to continuous professional development.
