Work alongside some amazing talent - award winning, experienced hospitality professionals Discounted room nights & food and beverage - because your well-being means so much Complimentary laundry, free meals on duty Access to fabulous and flexible benefits to help you in and out of work POSITION SUMMARY: Cellar Assistant - Casual As a Cellar Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Food & Beverage (F&B) operations by efficiently managing the receipt and storage of goods, and distributing requisitions to various F&B departments. You will be responsible for maintaining the cellar's stock levels and ensuring the proper handling and storage of beverages and other inventory items. Key Responsibilities: Receiving Goods: Accurately receive and inspect deliveries, ensuring all goods meet company standards for quality and quantity. Verify delivery invoices and stock against purchase orders, and properly record all incoming goods. Inventory Management: Maintain an organized and clean cellar area, ensuring all items are stored safely and securely in accordance with company and food safety guidelines. Regularly update inventory levels and assist in stock rotation to reduce wastage. Requisition Fulfillment: Process and distribute F&B requisitions accurately and efficiently, ensuring that all departments receive their requested items in a timely manner. Monitor and control stock distribution to prevent over or under stocking of key items. Cellar Maintenance: Oversee the maintenance and cleanliness of the cellar, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. Ensure temperature control and storage conditions are optimal for beverage preservation. Communication & Coordination: Liaise with suppliers and F&B department heads to ensure smooth operations. Communicate any discrepancies, shortages, or damages in stock to the relevant departments or management. Record Keeping: Keep accurate records of all stock movements, requisitions, and deliveries. Assist in periodic stock counts and audits. Requirements: Ability to lift and move goods weighing up to 50 pounds. Knowledge of basic food safety and beverage handling regulations. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail. Effective communication skills for working with suppliers and internal teams. Computer literacy for inventory tracking and reporting. Additional Responsibilities: Follow all company policies and procedures related to health and safety. Maintain a professional and clean appearance. Support the F&B team in achieving inventory and cost-control targets. Perform other reasonable duties as requested by supervisors. DESIRED BUT NOT ESSENTIAL : Education: Graduate/undergraduate in Finance, Hotel Operations or a related field Related Work Experience: At least 1 year of related work experience.
