Senior Estimator

The Company An award-winning Main Contractor that prides themselves on delivering high quality new build & refurbishment projects across the Education, Healthcare & Commercial sectors throughout the North West of England. The business has a fantastic reputation for delivering projects for repeat business clients, up to £3 million (per project), across multiple frameworks. Experience, Knowledge & Qualifications For this role you must possess the following; Prior experience working for a Main Contractor as an Estimator for a minimum of 5 years Experience using of Causeway software is essential Experience with working on new build / refurbishment projects (£100k - £3 million) A good communicator, able to deal with a range of people, tasks and obligations Well organised, self-starter, able to implement procedures and effectively manage all aspects of the worksThe Role As the Senior Estimator, you will lead the bid team, producing competitive tenders for projects, whilst developing the existing team members. Duties Providing competitive estimates for new build and refurbishment projects up to £3 million. Using internal estimating and take-off systems to accurately cost project / enquiry Calculating preliminary costs, in conjunction with Managers Developing client relationships to enhance opportunities to tender, negotiate and enhance tender margins Producing sub-contract and material enquires Answering sub-contractor and supplier queries and appraising quotations Checking tender documents, making amendments where required Attend post tender negotiations with clients Assist with the training and development of the junior team members Report into the directors and attend regular senior team meetings to review workload and company performanceThis is a Permanent position with a competitive salary (£60,000 - £70,000 + Car Allowance, Pension and Bonus) on offer for the successful candidate.
