Assistant Land Surveyor

POSITION : Assistant Land Surveyor LOCATION : Commutable from Hull, Beverley, Hessle, Brough, Willerby, Market Weighton, Goole, Scunthorpe, Grimsby SALARY : £25,000 + benefits THE ROLE : This is an excellent opportunity for the successful candidate to join a well established and respected Consultancy and train as a Land Surveyor , covering all aspects of land and measured surveys . You will receive 1 to 1 training with an experienced Surveyor. The role is 50/50 office/site based and every day/week will look different. The role is Monday to Friday - 37.5 hours DUTIES : Attend a wide variety of sites (private properties/commercial warehouses/construction sites and everything in between) to provide millimetre accurate surveys. These drawings will typically be in the form of Topographical Survey drawings, building floor plans, elevations, sections, roof plans. Assisting the current Land and Building Surveyor with day to day tasks both on site and in office. Learning to use surveying equipment such as GNSS/GPS receivers, total station, laser scanner. Learning to use AutoCAD, Leica Cyclone Reg360 and other surveying software. Communication with clients. Being able to cater to their needs and offer advice where necessary. Travel to sites predominantly across Yorkshire, occasionally nationwide. Learn and assist with producing CAD drawings. Including floor plans, elevations, building sections and topographical surveys. Organising workloads and meeting deadlines. YOU MUST HAVE THE FOLLOWING : Full UK Driving Licence Ability to manage your own workload and ensure deadlines are met. An enthusiastic attitude and conscientious approach Willingness to take on responsibility and be proactive. Computer literate and interested in technology. Experience of AutoCAD is desirable but not essential. Able to adapt to a busy and rapidly changing schedule. Ability to communicate with clients and professional people.
