At NCHA, we prioritise safety and compliance in all our operations. We're seeking a dedicated Building Safety Manager to join our team and ensure the safety and compliance of high-risk buildings in our housing stock.

Some of your duties may include:

Keeping residents informed about safety procedures
Acting as a key liaison between building owners, residents, and regulators, ensuring compliance with legal safety obligations and managing any safety-related incidents or concerns that may arise.
This role is essential for fostering a proactive safety culture and ensuring long-term compliance with safety regulations. Were looking for a self-starter who instils confidence in colleagues and others. You will have a strong background in safety, construction, or facilities management, with a deep understanding of fire safety, structural integrity, and compliance with the Building Safety Act.
You will possess relevant qualifications in health and safety, fire safety, or building management, along with experience managing safety risks in residential or high-risk buildings. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as the role involves liaising with residents, building owners, and regulatory bodies. The ideal candidate must also be highly organised, proactive, and detail-oriented, capable of conducting thorough risk assessments, managing safety records, and responding effectively to safety concerns or incidents. The role is full time, 35 hours per week to be worked Monday to Friday. Initially you will be required to work from our brand new offices in Clifton, but once established, there will be scope to adopt a hybrid working model with 3 days in the office and 2 at home. Occasional out of hours will be required to attend customer consolation meetings.
Interviews will be held in Clifton on 18th November.
NCHA strives to be a welcoming and inclusive employer as such we particularly welcome applicants from ethnic minority communities, LGBTQ+ communities, candidates with disabilities and women, as they are currently under-represented within our workforce principally in our people manager roles.
