The Place: Easily commutable from Dundee, our client, which is a luxurious private members club, operating as one of Europes most exclusive gated communities, is looking for an ambitious Sous Chef to join this massively talented brigade. The Job: As one of 2 Sous Chefs, you will be responsible for managing the complete day-to-day running of the kitchen and overseeing junior members of the brigade in the absence of the Executive Head Chef. We are looking to recruit a passionate individual to join a hard-working brigade looking to push the food up a level. You will be working directly with all the kitchen staff to ensure that daily tasks and prep, are completed in a timely fashion,whilst assisting with the development of the core food strategy, controlling food costs and working within budgets. Consistently delivering and exceeding customer expectations twinned with keeping in close communication with the Executive Head Chef, overall kitchen team, front-of-house teams and suppliers is paramount to this client's success. The Person: You will need to have a keen eye for detail and the ability to remain calm under pressure as well as support the kitchen management by supervising the team as and when needed. Experience in either a 5* hotel or a high-end rosette/Michelin restaurant is essential. If you can demonstrate a creative and highly organised career to date, a good track record of progression and stability, and you also have a good knowledge of classical and modern cooking techniques, proven creativity in developing new products and the ability to develop the food offering very high standards then please apply.
