Finance Business Analyst

A leading Shipping and Logistics company are looking for a Finance Business Analyst to join them on a contract basis as part of a long-term transformation programme. Rate: £425 (Outside IR35) Location: London (Hybrid) Start: ASAP Length: 6 months As a Business Analyst you will need to be someone who understands Finance and Business processes well. Key Responsibilities: Analyse business processes, operational, and financial data for optimisation opportunities. Undertake discovery and analysis of current state ("as is") and pain points, contributing to the definition of the future state ("to be") in People, Processes, Technology, and Data (PPTD). Engage in financial and operational data analysis, leading workshops with stakeholders to elicit requirements. * Collaborate with the finance department and key stakeholders to shape and deliver required outputs As a Business Analyst, your key responsibilities will include: Collaborating with finance teams and stakeholders to gather, analyse, and document business requirements related to mortgage finance operations Conducting in-depth analysis of existing financial processes and systems, identifying opportunities for improvement. Developing and implementing strategies to optimise financial workflows, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance. What the project lead is looking for: A nice person that is easy to work with and can manage own time and get things done Resilient Good documentation skills – really good documentation skills Understands Finance and Business processes well – the systems used are secondary and I help with the assessment of what the system needs to be able to do.
