RPG Developer

Our financial services client based in London is looking for an experienced RPG Developer. This is a 6 months contract initially with good possibility of extension. Please note that this role is inside IR35. This is a hybrid position with 2 days per week working in the central London office. Essentials skills and experience: - Strong programming skills needed in RPGLE, CLLE, and SQL, supported by a computer science of programming related degree - Ideally, experience in working with broking and financial asset classes - Be able to work in a team of developers, coding in similar areas in parallel and able to switch as priorities require across the 6-month roadmap of work - Attention to detail is a must, ensuring code is well tested and provides accurate and timely billing data for £10m's of monthly invoices, and minimising defects for SIT and UAT teams Day to day responsibilities: - Working within an established team of 4 developers to accelerate delivery of invoicing process changes - Develop high quality code, including working on a largely existing code base to enhance functionality - Work closely with the project management and BA to understand and deliver on requirements and optimising rollout schedules - Working with developers and the technical architect to finalise designs for system changes, including aligning on approach with other invoicing systems LA International is a HMG approved ICT Recruitment and Project Solutions Consultancy, operating globally from the largest single site in the UK as an IT Consultancy or as an Employment Business & Agency depending upon the precise nature of the work, for security cleared jobs or non-clearance vacancies, LA International welcome applications from all sections of the community and from people with diverse experience and backgrounds.
