Nursery ManagerJob Description:As theNursery Manager, you will oversee the overall management of the nursery, ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards and cultivating a positive, welcoming environment for both children and staff. Your leadership will be critical in establishing the nursery as a trusted and cherished part of the Kingston upon Thames community.
Nursery ManagerKey Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily nursery operations, ensuring a safe, engaging, and supportive environment for children.
- Collaborate with the operations manager and director to maintain and grow the nursery's high standards.
- Ensure full compliance with Ofsted requirements and all other relevant regulations.
- Develop and implement educational programs that foster the social, emotional, physical, and intellectual development of the children.
- Recruit, mentor, and manage nursery staff, ensuring ongoing professional development and high staff morale.
- Build strong relationships with parents, staff, and the wider local community, positioning the nursery as a key community resource.
- Manage administrative duties such as budgeting, resource management, and record-keeping.
- Ensure the nursery remains fully equipped and maintained to the highest standard.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum NVQ Level 3 in Childcare or equivalent (Degree in Early Childhood Education preferred).
- At least 3 years of experience in a managerial role in a nursery or early years setting.
- Strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills essential for aNursery Manager.
- Passionate about early childhood education and committed to maintaining high standards of care as aNursery Manager.
- Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with children, parents, and staff.
- First Aid certification and enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain).
