MIS Migration and Configuration Lead

Reports to: Senior IT & Systems Project Manager

Location: Currently operating hybrid working in our West London Office

Contract: Fixed Term (December 2024 to July 2025)

Pattern: Full Time (standard hours 9am - 5.30pm)

Salary: £38,000 to £43,000 (depending on experience)

About the role:

Ark Schools are currently mid-project to migrate all primary schools to Bromcom MIS. We are looking for an MIS Migration Data and Configuration Lead to join our fantastic Project Management Office to support Ark Schools' MIS Migration and Standardisation Programme.

The role, which is a maternity leave cover, will primarily focus on completion of the migration to Bromcom of Ark's primary schools, then moving on to support other data requirements within the wider programme.The role requires an expert knowledge of Bromcom functionality and the processes for data migration and configuration.

The MIS Migration Data and Configuration Lead will work within the Ark Project Team alongside Bromcom, the Ark Central team and the primary schools to configure and migrate data from an existing MIS (ScholarPack) to Bromcom using existing and established migration processes. As well as data migration and data quality checking, the role will provide onsite support for go-live and dedicated support to each school post migration. The role may also entail some advisory, second line support and mentoring elements for our Systems Support Team.

The successful candidate will gain a wealth of experience in a live and fast paced project. This will allow them to utilise their Bromcom knowledge, whilst gaining great experience for anyone looking to get into project management or develop their system migration skill set.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for supporting and implementing Bromcom in all Primary schools alongside our project team and MIS Project Manager
  • Responsible for leading on the configuration and migration tasks
  • Responsible for data quality checks and correction of data during migration
  • Responsible for supporting schools recently migrated to Bromcom in a Data Manager capacity, to ensure they are self-sustainable within 3 months
  • Support the data and configuration elements of the implementation of MCAS across all schools (Primary and Secondary)
  • Support the data and configuration elements training and standardisation project across all schools
  • Responsible for compilation of a Transition to Service Document for Bromcom and handover to the support team

Key Requirements:

  • Right to work in the UK
  • Experience of working in schools, ideally within a MAT
  • Experience of working with Bromcom as a data manager
  • Experience of configuration and migration of data between two or more systems
  • Well-developed ICT skills, in particular Excel data manipulation
  • Knowledge of good practice/procedures regarding compliance with data protection legislation
  • Effective communication skills - both written and verbal
  • Excellent attention to detail to ensure data accuracy
  • Able to use initiative with strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with care
