Special Resource Base (SRB) Learning Support Assistant Location: Cardiff Start Date: After October Half-Term Position: Full-time, Long-term We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Special Resource Base (SRB) Learning Support Assistant to join a supportive school in Cardiff starting after the October half-term. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with children who have additional learning needs (ALN) in a specialized setting. Key Responsibilities: Provide individual and group support for pupils with additional needs, ensuring they can access the curriculum. Implement personalized learning plans and assist in the development of tailored educational activities. Support children with behavioural challenges, social, emotional, and communication needs. Collaborate with the class teacher and other professionals, such as SENCO and speech therapists, to ensure the pupils' progress. Help manage sensory or movement breaks to support children's focus and comfort throughout the school day. Maintain a safe and nurturing environment, ensuring children feel supported and encouraged in their learning. Requirements: Experience working within an SRB or as an LSA supporting children with SEN/ALN is highly desirable. Ability to manage and support pupils with a variety of needs. Must have an Enhanced DBS and be registered with the EWC.This is an exciting and rewarding role for someone passionate about working in an SRB and supporting pupils with complex learning needs
