Job Title: Assistant Site Manager
Location: Sites are London based
Our client is a leading construction main contractor specializing in new build, refurbishment, and fit-out projects across various sectors, including residential, commercial, life sciences, healthcare, and education. They pride themselves on delivering high-quality projects on time and within budget while maintaining the highest standards of safety and sustainability.
Position Overview: They are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Site Manager to join the dynamic team. The ideal candidate will support the Site Manager in overseeing construction projects from inception to completion, with the view to be promoted into the position of Site Manager in time.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist the Site Manager in the day-to-day management of construction sites.
* Monitor project progress and report any issues to the Site Manager.
* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
* Coordinate and supervise subcontractors and site personnel.
* Help maintain project documentation, including schedules, budgets, and reports.
* Liaise with clients, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth communication and project execution.
* Assist in conducting site inspections and quality control checks.
* Support the planning and implementation of site logistics.
Qualifications:
* Relevant degree or qualification in construction management or a related field.
* Previous experience in a similar role within the construction industry is preferred.
* Strong knowledge of construction processes, safety standards, and regulations.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple tasks.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office and project management software.
