Operational Risk Manager (1LoD)
The AccountCompliance team at Amazon are dedicated to making the organizationthe safest and most trusted place to buy and sell. Our primary goalis to protect our customers' interests while balancing riskmanagement with exceptional customer experience. This is achievedthrough our global first line of defense (1LoD) riskprogram.
We are now seeking an experienced OperationalRisk Manager to join our Global 1LoD risk program. The roleinvolves supporting the implementation of operational riskobjectives and contributing to the development and execution ofrisk strategies, with a primary focus on the governance andmanagement of the Risk & Control Self-Assessment (RCSA)framework.

Key Responsibilities
•Conduct Ongoing RCSAs: Lead and support regular Risk & ControlSelf-Assessments to identify, assess, and review the adequacy andeffectiveness of risk management and control systems.
•Develop Operational Risk Strategies: Assist in formulatingprocedures that define operational risk strategy and programgoals.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate withstakeholders to drive risk mitigation through comprehensive riskassessment and treatment plans.
• Project Management:Play a key role in managing projects related to the implementationof risk management systems.
• Reporting: Produce detailedreports on risk management across multiple functions within AccountCompliance, working closely with cross-functional teams to gatherinput, and providing updates to senior leadership at varyingcadences (Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly)
• Risk Consistency:Collaborate with various functions to ensure consistentunderstanding and awareness of operational risks across theorganization.
• Presentation of Findings: Present riskassessment findings and recovery strategies to key stakeholdersacross 1st and 2nd Line.
• Risk Treatment Management:Partner with relevant teams to coordinate risk treatment plansidentified through the risk assessment process and assist inresponding to significant disruptions, influencing globaleprioritization roadmaps.
• Facilitate Workshops: OrganizeRCSA workshops to help identify unknown operationalrisks.
• Training and Awareness: Identify opportunitiesfor training and enhancing awareness of operational riskmethodologies.
Basic Qualifications
• 3+ yearsof experience in Risk Management, Assurance, Compliance, or Auditroles.
• Excellent communication skills and ability tocoordinate with multiple stakeholders.
• Projectmanagement experience or experience working on complexprojects.
• Proven track record of creativeproblem-solving and a desire to create and build newprocesses.
• Comfort with challenging the status quo,even in confrontational situations.
• Strong timemanagement, multitasking skills, and attention todetail.
• Proficient in MS Office Suite, including Word,PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and SharePoint.
• Ability toprovide concise and effective answers to questions, offeringexpertise on procedures to associates and management across diversesites.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience ingenerating risk intelligence reports and analysis.
•Demonstrated ability to make sound decisions, take ownership, anddeliver results in a management capacity.
• Provenability to challenge norms, improve performance, and enhanceefficiency.
• Ability to analyze data and existingprocesses to identify risks and opportunities.
• Stronginterpersonal skills, including the ability to build relationshipsand positively influence decision-making.
• Provenability to meet deadlines while managing multiple complex workstreams.

BASICQUALIFICATIONS - Bachelor's degree orequivalent
- Experience in compliance program management,legal, governance, audit, risk/loss prevention, orequivalent
- Experience handling confidentialinformation
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS -Professional auditing qualification, or similar risk or compliancecredentials
- Experience with SQL and Excel
-Experience in program requirements definition, together with dataand metrics leveraging to driveimprovements
