Yard Operative

Position; Yard Operative Location; Wallingford Salary; £11.50 - £13.00 PER HOUR We require a Yard Operative to work for our client based near Wallingford, working hours will be 08:00 - 17:00 Monday to Friday. Due to location you would ideally need to drive. Or if you live in Wallingford happy to cycle / use a motorbike. The role; You will be required to keep the yard clean and tidy at all times ensuring full health and safety rules are adhered to at all times. Main responsibilities; Loading and unloading of Lorries and other HGVs as required Yard maintenance ensuring all is clean and organised at all times Use of bailing machines to compact waste Wrapping of pallets ready for despatch General Sweeping and cleaning of work areas Repairing of Pallets when necessary Stock taking and inventory maintenance Reworks of returned damaged or waste products Completion of risk assessment as required (training provided)About you; No experience is necessary as full training will be given. A conscientious and 'can-do' attitude with the ability to work form your own initiative. Experience of using forklift trucks would be advantageous but not essential;.
