SHEQ Manager - Health and Safety Manager

SHEQ Manager (Health and Safety Manager) Location: Mitcham Contract: Full time, permanent George Killoughery Ltd are a Construction Services company who providing a variety of Aggregates, Logistics, Waste Management and Infrastructure Services. We have a reputation for quality of service in the market and work closely with a variety of clients including most major UK Construction Contractors. We have a fantastic opportunity for a SHEQ Manager within our successful team in Mitcham. Key Duties and Responsibilities Your duties and responsibilities will include, but not limited to: Maintain and co-ordinate health and safety policies and procedures. Ensure compliance to health and safety regulations by all employees and contractors of the business. Preparing method statements and risk assessments. Site inspections - Identifying potential hazards and determining ways of reducing risks. Recording and investigating incidents, accidents and complaints. Investigate any health and safety issues raised. Attend training courses as required to enable you to develop your skills and knowledge through continuous professional development. Conducting in-house training sessions on health and safety awareness Maintain all company accreditations (e.g. Avetta, Constructionline etc). Keep up to date the safe operational practices ensuring adherence to any changes in legislation. Key Skills & Knowledge Experience of working in a waste management or construction environment Strong analytical problem solving and organizational skills NEBOSH qualified (or equivalent) Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills The ability to communicate in verbal and written forms at all levels Ability to give constructive feedback to all levels of staff Ability to prioritise multiple tasks and work to tight deadlines Full driving licence Experience/knowledge of transport or environmental compliance is advantageous.
