Elvet Recruitment are seeking an Office Manager to join a dynamic and growing company based in Gateshead. This is a new role due to continued growth and our client is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Office Manager to take charge of the day-to-day office operations. Job Overview:
Reporting directly to company directors, you will be the first point of contact for clients and employees, ensuring that the office runs smoothly and efficiently. This role involves a blend of administrative tasks, team coordination, and project support. Key Responsibilities:
- Manage office operations including supplies, equipment maintenance, and general administration.
- Serve as the first point of contact for client inquiries via phone and email.
- Oversee internal office procedures, ensuring policies are up-to-date and followed.
- Handle bookings, coordinate team meetings, and organise travel arrangements for staff.
- Attend senior management meetings, drafting reports and minutes as needed.
- Ensure all office hardware, software, and systems are updated and functioning efficiently.
- Support the project management team with administrative tasks, reporting, and client communication.
- Maintain oversight of health and safety (H&S) requirements and company insurance.
- Monitor and manage company websites, ensuring content is current.
- Seek out ways to improve efficiency in office operations, procedures, and systems.
- Liaise with clients, contractors, and vendors, providing excellent customer service.
Key Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an Office Manager or in a similar administrative role.
- Ability to juggle the demands of a busy office environment and work within a small, close-knit team.
- Advanced IT skills, including proficiency with Microsoft365 and cloud-based tools (e.g., Dropbox etc.).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with a high standard of English.
- Attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
- Reliable, discreet, and trustworthy, with a positive and flexible attitude.
- Experience in the land surveying or geomatics profession is preferred but not essential.
