Internal Technical Sales Advisor

Technical Sales Advisor required to join technical sales/product development team within this market leading manufacturing business which offers product solutions within the construction sector. Would suit person with technical qualification and technical sales experience or someone with a technical qualification who wishes to enter technical sales for the next stage of their career. Architects, Surveyors, building service contractors and building merchants will have technical enquiries relating to how our client’s products can be used in specific construction projects – using your own technical and product knowledge, and liaising with colleagues as required, you will address these queries and requests for information and provide solutions which will enable the technical sales team to quote for suitable, fit for purpose products. You will receive, review and comment on any customer requests for new or modified products and provide an ongoing and accurate sales/marketing intelligence for Managers and the Sales team on competitor activity. In addition to telephone, Teams and email contact with customers you will also meet with customers who visit the manufacturing facility and attend conferences, seminars and exhibitions as required. You should be IT literate to record electronically all customer communications in respect of technical enquiries, parts, prices, procedures, products, projects, quotations, samples, stock, etc – knowledge/experience of CAD would be useful and an ability to read engineering and/or construction and schematic drawings. Excellent communications skills required for interaction with customers and colleagues across sales, design, customer service, production/logistics and purchasing. Full product training will be provided but a technical/engineering background in respect of qualification and/or experience is considered essential
