Regional Operations Manager

Michael Page Logistics are looking to recruit a Regional Operations Manager. The role will cover depots across the South East with a focus on the Thames Valley & Southampton areas. Client Details Our client is an independent distributor of specialist goods and servicing a variety of commercial and industrial sectors. The business continues to perform well and have ambitious plans for growth. Description You will be responsible for delivering high levels of productivity and driving continuous improvement though high-performance teams and exceeding compliance standards. Maintain 100% compliance with the O Licence Undertakings as a Transport Manager, seeking to exceed DVSA KPI standards Manage, lead and mentor the drivers and resources across the network and any further expansion of the operation Work with the Planning team to deliver optimal use of resources to maximise Productivity Provide Operations and Customer support to both drivers, other Managers and Customer Services, as required Develop and understanding of available Fuel Management Systems and technology to deliver efficient operations Deliver training across the depots in relation to Inductions, Professional Developmentand promotion of H&S Management of incidents and investigations, including Near Misses and Complaints, with Root Cause Analysis Profile Knowledge / Skills and Attributes: In depth knowledge of the Goods Vehicle and hold Management CPC Demonstrable experience of managing transport operations Experience with modern vehicle technologies Ability to demonstrate influential communication Strong demonstrable organisation and planning skills Positive attitude, pro-active, strong communication skills, ability to work under pressure.
