About the role: Our School, a happy and successful community committed to nurturing individual potential, is seeking an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant (SEN TA) to join our team full-time. As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you’ll play a key role in fostering a positive learning experience for our students, helping to create an atmosphere where every child can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.This role requires experience working with primary-aged children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), including non-verbal students and those with behavioural challenges. Application Requirements: • Experienced SEN TA with a background in primary school settings. • Skilled in working with non-verbal children and managing behavioural challenges. • Able to build positive relationships with students and adapt to individual learning needs. • Committed to our School's values, fostering a nurturing and inclusive environment for all. • Proficient in using adaptive communication tools and resources to support non-verbal students effectively. Key Responsibilities: • Providing one-on-one assistance to children with ASD, helping them engage in a safe and structured environment. • Using strategies tailored to support non-verbal communication needs. • Implementing behavioural support techniques in line with the school’s values: Integrity, Resilience, Respect, Kindness, and Curiosity. • Working collaboratively with teachers and staff to create an inclusive, positive classroom environment. • Assisting in the development and implementation of individualised learning plans to support each child’s unique needs and abilities.
