What you will be doing as the environmental advisor
- Communicating on all environmental compliance matters to employees at all levels within the organisation
- Identifying opportunities and projects that improve efficiencies of processes
- Maintaining environmental and energy management system requirements (ISO14001 and ISO50001) Conducting environmental audits and inspections and analysing and evaluating results
- Making recommendations or initiating actions to ensure that the organisation complies with all environmental regulations and standards
- Investigation of any environmental incidents including completion or verification incident reports
- Maintaining and analysing environmental records to identify and understand trends to initiate improvement activities.
- Deputise for the department manager when needed
- Keep up to date with proposed and actual changes in environmental regulations, so that adjustments to policies can be made in a timely manner
What you will need to apply for the environmental advisor position
- Experience as an environmental advisor, environmental officer, or environmental engineer in a technical or manufacturing setting
- A degree level qualification in an environmental, scientific, or engineering discipline is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of environmental regulations and standards such as ISO:14001
What you will receive as the environmental advisor
A salary of 35,000- 40,000(dependent on experience) + pension, (matched up to 6%), Private Medical, etc.
The working hours
Monday to Thursday 8:30am-4:30pm, Friday 8:30am-3:30pm.
