Job Requirements / Description
If you have solid Contracts Administration experience and ideally enjoy working in a small business where you play a central part, then this job may well be of interest.    Based in Wigan, this small business has lots of customers to support and several engineers who need your help.  There is plenty to keep you busy, along with lots of organising and pulling things together for the business owner and wider team.      With this in mind, it’s really important that being organised, IT literate and experienced working in a busy admin role is familiar ground to you, and you are able to get to grips with the intricacies of contract administration in a compliance-driven industry.  This role is also fully office-based, not hybrid.    The company is going from strength to strength, growing year on year and this position has come about due to this continued growth and subsequent increased workload.  There is one other administrator who will train you and will then be going on maternity leave initially. When she returns, the workload will be shared and is likely to include some accounts/invoicing functions. There are always technological advances in their industry too, so as the role develops, and if you want it, there could be the opportunity to develop your skills and experience further to align with the service delivery customers expect.    Main duties to include: Full range of administration support to the engineers and director Raising jobs on ‘Simpro’ system (training given) Creating quotes/estimates and following up Scheduling engineers for servicing/ad-hoc jobs Ordering parts Monitoring jobs, progress, issues and approving times Keeping the clients informed of progress/status and dealing with questions/queries Invoicing completed jobs Organising return visits, labour and equipment when required Uploading job packs onto the system (pictures, job cards, test certificates, invoices etc) Keeping systems up to date at all times General office duties We are looking for: Solid Administrative experience (ideally within electrical/building industry) Ability to work on own initiative and manage own workload Experience of SimPro ideally although the ability to find your way around new systems reasonably quickly is OK Confident using MS Word, Excel and Outlook Very organised and able to work to deadlines Good communication skills (verbal and written) Happy to undertake a variety of tasks as typically needed in a small business as well as General office admin work and answering the phone Comfortable working in a very small team Happy to be purely office-based In return you can expect: Salary: £23k-£25k (dependent on experience) Hours: 8.30 – 4.30pm Mon-Thur and 3pm Fri (38 hrs) Holidays: 21 days + Bank Holidays (Xmas off) Uniform Private Healthcare Scheme after 6 months Free parking Stable company Team building events Training and development If you are interested in this position, please contact Sharon or Rachel on: (phone number removed) or email a copy of your CV using the link.    If this job isn't quite right for you but you are looking for a new position, please contact us for a confidential discussion on your career.    THIS JOB NOT FOR YOU?
