Warehouse Manager Required!

Our client is a family-owned business, trading for over 30 years they are a leading manufacturer and distributor of windows and door hardware.

On behalf of our client, we are seeking a proactive and experienced Warehouse Manager to join their team. Reporting directly to the managing director, the successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the warehouse, fire marshal duties and site Health and safety.

This is a full-time position, working Monday-Friday 8:30am - 5:00pm based in Hinxton, Cambridgeshire.

Package:

  • Salary 32,000 - 35,000 (DOE)

Warehouse Manager - Responsibilities:

  • Ensure a safe working environment, including facilities management (aircon, fire/intruder systems, forklift services, and building maintenance).
  • Manage and train warehouse staff, monitor attendance, and handle recruitment and disciplinary procedures.
  • Coordinate with the Sales office to fulfil customer orders and allocate tasks to staff.
  • Arrange courier collections, dispatch export orders, and create commercial invoices.
  • Oversee stock management, including replenishment, stocktakes, and system movements.
  • Handle packaging, delivery quotations, and manage stock levels for packaging materials.
  • Conduct regular machine checks and manage forklift training and maintenance.
  • Act as the first responder for out-of-hours callouts and perform first aider/fire marshal duties.
  • Pick and pack orders when necessary and address customer complaints.

Warehouse Manager - Requirements:

  • Proven experience in warehouse management or a similar role.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations, including facilities management.
  • Proficient in stock management and inventory control systems.
  • Strong communication skills for liaising with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Forklift certification
  • First aid and fire marshal certifications - advantageous
