You will be assisting the section heads of the kitchen on maintaining the standards of each product, hygiene, and motivation to subordinates to have the best level of service. You are responsible for the daily food preparation and duties assigned to meet the set standard and qualities expected.
Core Responsibilities: Ensure that all foods are stored at the correct temperature according to the HACCP guidelines Ensure compliance with food hygiene and Health and Safety standards To assist all senior leaders on completing all storage, stock rotation and cleaning tasks for the section to the required standard within the given time You will assist all seniors on ensuring that the production, preparation and presentation of food are of the highest quality at all times Able to operate kitchen equipment like braising pan, baking ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves and fryers Preparing and cooking all food items by the recipe and to specification Coordinates daily tasks with the Demi Chefs/Chef De Partie/Sous Chef/Jr. Sous Chef Ensures that all food being prepared is with high quality dishes within the speciality section as directed by your Chef De Partie Follow the instructions and recommendations from the immediate superiors to complete the daily tasks To complete daily mise en place tasks for the section to the required standards Key Criteria: Previous experience in a culinary role or kitchen environment is preferred Basic understanding of kitchen equipment and cooking techniques Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and stay composed under pressure Strong teamwork and communication skills to collaborate effectively with the kitchen team Commitment to maintaining the highest standards of hygiene and food safety Experience in a customer-facing, fast placed environment Proof of eligibility to work in the United Kingdom Availability to work full-time and be flexible We would love to hear from you if you feel like we could be great fit for each other
