About the role: We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Key Stage 1 Teaching Assistant (TA) to join our supportive team on a part-time basis. In this role, you will work closely with the class teacher to support children in their academic and social development, with a focus on boosters and interventions for students needing extra help. You will have the opportunity to engage with small groups and provide targeted support to help children catch up and excel. The role also involves working with students with Special Educational Needs (SEN), creating a truly rewarding experience as you help each child reach their full potential. Application Requirements: • Relevant experience working with primary-aged children, particularly in Key Stage 1. • Passion for supporting children’s learning and development, particularly through interventions and SEN support. • Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and other school staff. • Strong communication skills and a caring, empathetic approach to working with young children. • A commitment to the values and ethos of a Church of England school. Key Responsibilities: • Provide classroom support for the Key Stage 1 teacher, helping with daily lessons and activities. • Lead small group interventions for children who require extra help in reading, writing, and maths. • Support students with SEN, ensuring their learning needs are met and they feel included in the classroom environment. • Assist in the preparation of classroom resources and contribute to creating a vibrant and engaging learning atmosphere. • Monitor and report on the progress of individual students, offering feedback and guidance to help them succeed.
