Salary £14,410.50 a year (17.5 hours per week) Location Reading Contract type Permanent Weekly hours Monday, Wednesday and Friday 10.00 AM -2.30PM, Thursday 10.00 AM - 2 00 PM (Tuesday non working day) The vacancy Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of older and vulnerable people? Were looking for a Deputy Scheme Manager to help manage an extra care scheme of residential apartments with fantastic community facilities. Working alongside the Scheme Manager, you'll take on the day-to-day management of the scheme, ensuring residents feel supported, safe, and empowered to live independently. In this role, you'll ensure the smooth running of the scheme, managing voids, arrears, and compliance with fire safety targets. Youll communicate effectively with residents through face-to-face meetings, newsletters, and letters, keeping everyone informed and engaged. You'll also collaborate with residents and stakeholders to maintain a positive, supported living environment and work closely with our Asset team to deliver improvements and investments that enhance the scheme. To be a success in this role, you're. experienced working with older or vulnerable people and have a background in scheme housing management. skilled or knowledgeable around team management. knowledgeable of health and safety compliance and are committed to ensuring a safe environment. skilled at communicating and have a genuine passion for our customers, organised and have time management abilities with a can do attitude. If you have experience managing a mixed tenure extra care or retirement scheme or working with adult care services, local authorities, or voluntary organisations, thats a bonus! A full driving license with access to a vehicle and an enhanced DBS are a requirement of this role.
