CNC Machinist opening: A great opportunity has opened in our factory Newport for a CNC Machinist for the manufacturing of components to company or customer specification using manual and CNC machining equipment. The role includes: Setup and operate manual and CNC machine tools in order to produce precision components. Inspection of machined components to engineering drawings, to ensure that the required specification is met. Chemical based cleaning of machined parts. Product packing and despatch to the customer. Key responsibilities: Comply with all company Health and Safety policies and requirements. Maintain a high level of housekeeping. Safe handling of chemicals through COSHH awareness. Complying with company quality procedures to ensure a supply of high-quality product consistently meets customer needs. Required skills: Must have previous experience as CNC machining (Milling). Familiar with Heidenhain CNC control Must have experience using Microsoft Outlook (Word & Excel advantageous). Desired skills: COSHH trained. Knowledge of CAM/CAD.
