Are the person who scrolls property websites for genuine interest and curiosity? I am looking for a motivated and analytical Management Accountant who is serious about career in Real Estate. You will be responsible for providing detailed financial analysis and maintaining accurate reporting for a diverse portfolio, including industrial, retail, and residential properties. You will contribute to financial planning, reporting, and cost management, ensuring the delivery of high-quality information to support business decisions. Main Responsibilities: Prepare and deliver monthly profit and loss statements, including variance analysis and commentary, for review by the Financial Accountant. Review operational income and expenses, ensuring accuracy through journal postings and maintaining high standards in monthly reporting. Track performance indicators, identifying key trends and providing insights while investigating the causes of unexpected variances. Oversee the monitoring of service charge recoveries, providing explanations for any shortfalls. Ensure tenant costs are appropriately recharged where applicable. Collaborate with Commercial Accountants to develop quarterly performance reports for Asset Managers and Sector Directors, alongside ongoing property profit and loss forecasts. Additional Duties: Identify and implement strategies to enhance cost management across the property portfolio. Oversee the seamless execution of acquisitions, ensuring accurate and efficient communication with the Property Accountant, Financial Accountant, and credit control teams for a smooth transition. Prepare reports on refurbishment costs, working with the Financial Accountant to determine the correct allocation between exceptional expenses and capital expenditure. Manage head rent calculations in coordination with Asset Managers and landlords as needed. Collaborate closely with the Asset Management administration team to handle rates and rate mitigation, ensuring liabilities are accurate and refunds are properly processed. I'm looking for some with key attributes: Excellent Communication and presentation skills. Ability to liaise and communicate with senior management and people from a non-finance background. Highly numerate and analytical with the ability to gather, manipulate and present large quantities of data effectively. Be well-organised, with strong organisational skills and able to develop and monitor plans to consistently meet agreed deadlines. Should be commercially aware with the ability to challenge costs on all levels. Willingness to challenge and critically analyse information. Is part qualified or studying accounting.
