Position: Project Manager (Temporary Works)

Job Overview:
Red Sky Personnel is recruiting for an experienced Project Manager to oversee temporary works for a major infrastructure project in Birmingham. You will be responsible for planning, procuring, and implementing key temporary works required to support the construction of a major rail station. This includes managing costs, ensuring health and safety compliance, and driving project quality and commercial performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Temporary Works Management: Oversee the planning, design, procurement, and implementation of temporary works. Coordinate with Senior Project Managers and engineering teams to ensure all temporary works are delivered efficiently.
- Coordination Across Departments: Work closely with construction, design, procurement, and commercial teams to review designs, engage the supply chain, and ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Cost and Progress Reporting: Monitor project costs, update forecasts, and report progress to senior leadership. Provide detailed reports on foundations, excavation, and viaduct works.
- Team Leadership: Build and manage a high-performing team, set clear targets, and ensure compliance with performance management processes.
- Collaboration: Foster a collaborative environment with internal teams, stakeholders, and the supply chain to ensure smooth project delivery.
- Health and Safety Compliance: Ensure all work adheres to health and safety regulations, maintaining a safe working environment.
Key Requirements:
- Proven experience in managing large-scale construction projects, particularly in temporary works and infrastructure.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage cross-functional teams and engage with stakeholders at all levels.
- Excellent knowledge of health and safety regulations and a commitment to maintaining high safety standards on-site.
- Ability to manage costs, budgets, and schedules effectively, delivering projects on time and within financial constraints.
Qualifications:
- Experience in civil engineering or construction project management.
- SMSTS, CSCS Card, and First Aid certification.
- Strong computer skills and proficiency in project management tools.
