Senior Quantity Surveyor

Spencer & James Recruitment are seeking a skilled and dedicated Quantity Surveyor, with experience working on Responsive Repairs and Voids works projects within the social housing sector. As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, within this team you will manage the project commercial aspects, oversee a Commercial Assistant, preparing monthly CVR's / VCR's, submit client applications, and handle commercial reports. Key Responsibilities Enhance Project Performance: Promote and support project team performance by ensuring key contractual obligations and strategies are effectively executed and reviewed regularly. Cost Management: Prepare and submit monthly Cost Value Reconciliations (CVR) and progress reports, ensuring efficient cost control and maximizing project value. Tender Strategies: Understand and apply both internal and external tender strategies, working towards achieving the planned profit targets. Valuations & Cash Flow: Coordinate with stakeholders to agree on external valuations and manage cash flow to enhance project value. Final Accounts:Work alongside the Commercial Manager to finalize main and subcontract accounts. Subcontract Management: Ensure all subcontract management processes are completed, focusing on procurement, measurement and valuation, issuing contractual instructions/notices/orders, and maintaining health and safety standards.
